Helen Mattox Bost has been helping Atlanta clients with their portraits since 2009. She truly loves being an associate with Portraits, Inc., and loves being part of such a special process with her clients. Helen has worked with all ages, various mediums and sizes, and a range of artists, but she has primarily worked with clients having their children’s portraits painted. She guides clients through the process from start to finish and can even help with the framing and placement of the completed portrait.

Helen is a native Georgian, born and raised in LaGrange where her parents still live. She graduated from St. Catherine’s School in Richmond, Virginia, in 1993 and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1997 with a B.A. in English. Upon graduation, Helen moved to Atlanta where she worked in the interior design field for seven years before starting her own small firm, Helen Bost Interiors. Five years later, Helen became an associate with Portraits, Inc., and continues to work in both fields today. Helen also co-authored the book, Private Gardens of Georgia (Gibbs Smith, Publisher, 2008) with her mother, Polly Mattox.  Helen has a deep love of nature and gardening and is currently serving on the Cherokee Garden Library Advisory Board.

Helen is married to William Bost, whom she met at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. They have been married for 17 years and have two daughters, Heyward and Anne, who attend The Lovett School. Helen and her family are members of St. Anne’s Episcopal Church.
